Design process

Dr. Hsien Yung Lai created a design for a box which minimizes virus transmission between patient and healthcare worker. His website has been linked on our COVID-19 page. This box can be made from acrylic or polycarbonate sheets. Given that we have access to tools that can cut these sheets, we decided to make this product our primary focus.

After developing our first box, tests were run to assure it's durability against impact and chemicals from sanitation products. We then showed our box to a doctor from a local hospital to get feedback.
